Finished

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

This is a verse that I have heard often in the last three years, but it is one that is well worth remembering. God has given us His Word to be able to know Him through it. We need to take the time not only to read it, but also to heed this verse and study His Word.

For three years, I have been studying the Bible at the Deland School of the Bible and while officially I graduated on December 18th, the aspect of studying the Bible is still necessary and important in my life. The command to study is one that has no end because there is always more to learn so that we can rightly divide God’s word.

One of the things I learned in my first semester, and was impressed on me again this last semester, is that there is so much in the Bible. If we just read the pages of God’s Word, we can learn so many things, but when you see how verses in the Old and New Testaments work together to explain a truth it is amazing. It is remarkable to see all the prophecies that God promised concerning Jesus, his birth, life and death, in the Old Testament and then to see the verses regarding their fulfillment in the New Testament. How throughout the Old and New Testaments there are truths regarding the second coming and the tribulation. The Bible is an amazing book inspired by an amazing God! I am grateful to Bro. James and the other men who willingly give of their time to teach the Bible, they are all a blessing.

Outside of class time, I greatly enjoyed being able to participate in the outreach activities of the Church. Whether it was passing out tracts at races, football games, or parades, distributing booklets door to door, a mission trip to Trinidad, going to the nursing homes they have all been a great learning experience and wonderful times of fellowship with others who participated.

The past three years have been a wonderful time of learning for me. The tests were not always easy, studying was hard at times, but I have learned many things that will help me as I strive to serve the LORD.

Atlantis

Today was the final Space Shuttle Launch. :( My Brothers and I walked down to the river to watch Atlantis fly for the last time. There were so many people out to watch it!!!!! While we walked we passed out tracts. It is too bad we didn't have more tracts with us, we gave out all we had.

A small portion of the crowds

Happy shuttle watchers

Parking was creative!!

Acts 1:10-11

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up,

behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee,

why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,

shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

TRINIDAD

Today, my brother Todd and I are going to Trinidad with a team from our church. There are 14 of us who are going to work with James Hoffmeister, a missionary in San Fernando, Trinidad.
Some of the things we will be doing are passing out tracts, school assemblies, evangelistic blitz, a big youth activity, teaching Sunday School, participating in church services. Each team member is prepared to do one on one witnessing, giving their testimony, teaching a Bible lesson to youth or adults, singing, doing whatever is needed to get the Gospel to the people of Trinidad.

I look forward to being used of God during this trip. Pray for us as we are gone.

I am looking forward to............

using my passport many times! In just a few short weeks, Todd and I will go with a team from church to help out a missionary in Trinidad. Then next year, our church will head up a year long missionary endeavor to Greece. To the city of
Thessaloniki originally known as Thessalonica.

1 Thessalonians 1:1-3
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus,
unto the church of the Thessalonians
which is in God the Father and in the LORD Jesus Christ:
Grace be unto y ou, and peace, from God our Father,
and the LORD Jesus Christ.
We give thanks to God always for you all,
making mention of you in our prayers;
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith,
and labour of love, and patience of hope
in our LORD Jesus Christ,
in the sight of God and our Father.
Thessoliniki is the modern Thessolinica of the BIBLE. Some missionaries and Pastors have been to Thessoliniki in recent years and have discovered there are no BIBLE preaching churches to be found in this huge city. Our pastor and others had a burden to go to Thessoliniki with the GOSPEL. Our church, with the help of some other churches, will send teams starting in May of 2012 to spend 2 to 4 weeks giving the GOSPEL to the people of that city with the purpose of seeing a BIBLE preaching church established.
My parents knew this would be something I would really like to go and help with. We were all a bit surprised when Todd (who likes to be home) said he would like to go, also. My parents were THRILLED about this. They are careful about where I go, and with whom. Todd has been my 'bodyguard' for years. (and that is fine with me) Since Todd's business is very busy in the warmer months, we will have to go to Greece in the cooler months. (this will be interesting for a us, since we have grown up in FLORIDA)
My mom ordered us some GREEK Language books/cds. We plan to be able to communicate effectively. Be able to quote several BIBLE verses, correctly, before we go. :) I am very excited about being able to go and give the GOSPEL for those in Thessoliniki!!!

I got it!!!!

Back in November, my brother and I applied for passports. His came with no problem. I got a letter stating they needed more 'proof' that I am who I say I am. (sighing) At my age and having never been to a school, or held a job, I really don't have much of a 'paper trail' following me. Mom got very creative with things that identify me as me. We used paperwork from our dentist and doctor, the front page of a new testament that was given to my parents at church when I was born...it had my name and different information on it, expired annual passes to different theme parks (mom was glad we had saved those over the years), A certificate from a car model building contest a few years ago, basically a group of very odd things. Mom gathered more than 18 different things that related to me and then we made copies of them all and sent to the passport office. A couple weeks later........... IT CAME!

Can you guess the first stop I will make with my passport????

I am going to TRINIDAD in April! I am very very excited!
